General Manager (Business Head) – MACHINE‑BUILDING -Indore
Role Purpose
Provide strategic, operational, and commercial leadership to drive sustainable growth, technological excellence, and profitability for a machine‑building/manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities-
Responsible for P&L of organization.
Strategic Leadership
• Define long‑term vision, growth strategy, and market positioning
• Identify new markets, technologies, and diversification opportunities
• Lead digital transformation, automation, and innovation initiatives
Operational Management
• Oversee manufacturing operations, production planning, supply chain, and quality systems
• Ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement
• Drive cost optimization and asset utilization
Business Development
• Build and manage strategic customer relationships
• Lead expansion into global markets
• Oversee pricing strategy, key account management, and sales performance
Financial Management
• Own P&L, budgeting, financial planning, and capital allocation
• Ensure profitability, cash‑flow discipline, and ROI on major investments
• Lead fundraising or investor‑relation activities if applicable
Technology & Product Leadership
• Guide R&D and new product development
• Promote innovation in machine design, automation, robotics, and engineering
• Ensure products meet industry standards and emerging market needs
People & Organizational Leadership
• Build a high‑performance leadership team
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
• Drive talent development and succession planning
Governance & Compliance
• Ensure adherence to legal, environmental, and industry regulations
• Establish strong internal controls and ethical standards
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong background in manufacturing, machine building, industrial engineering, or automation
• Proven P&L leadership
• Deep understanding of industrial markets and global manufacturing ecosystems
• Ability to scale operations, drive lean manufacturing, and implement modern tech
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills
Educational Qualifications
• BE/ ME in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, with MBA in Finance/ Marketing.
• 15–25 years of experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership, ideally in machine‑building or capital equipment industry.
Strong experience in Operation, Business Development and Finance.
