General Manager – Logistics & Operations

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to oversee and manage our logistics and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive logistics industry experience, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to manage day-to-day operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics, transportation, and operational activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with transporters, vendors, and customers.
- Coordinate shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage and optimize transportation costs and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and review operational reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Draft professional emails and correspondence with customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Monitor and improve operational processes and workflows.
- Coordinate with accounts and administration teams regarding invoices and operational documentation.
- Support management in business development and customer relationship management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Lead and supervise operational staff and provide guidance when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistics, Transportation, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain Management.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (reports, formulas, data analysis, and operational tracking).
- Well-established network and good contacts with transporters and logistics service providers.
- Basic knowledge of Tally ERP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong email drafting and business correspondence skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate) is mandatory.
- Preferred fields of study include Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Management, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with relevant professional certifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management will have an added advantage.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in English, Telugu, and Hindi.
- Knowledge of Tamil will be an added advantage.

- Leadership and team management experience.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Strong negotiation skills with transporters and vendors.
- Ability to independently manage logistics operations and business relationships.
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 – ₹60,000.00 per month
