Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Godown Manager to oversee warehouse operations for a transport company. The candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising loading and unloading activities, ensuring timely dispatches, and maintaining proper records of goods movement.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day godown and warehouse operations.
• Supervise loading, unloading, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
• Coordinate with transport, operations, and dispatch teams for smooth movement of consignments.
• Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Monitor warehouse staff and allocate duties effectively.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and security of the godown.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues.

Requirements

• Graduate in any discipline.
• 1 – 2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, transport, or godown management.
• Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Basic computer skills and record-keeping abilities.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and organizational skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in the transport and logistics industry.
• Ability to manage manpower and handle operational challenges efficiently.
• Familiarity with inventory software/ERP systems will be an added advantage.
