Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Engineer – L3 to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GCP infrastructure, cloud networking, security, automation, Kubernetes, and cloud operations.

The role requires acting as the highest technical escalation point for cloud incidents, driving cloud transformation initiatives, implementing automation, ensuring security compliance, and maintaining highly available cloud environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesGoogle Cloud Platform Administration

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise GCP infrastructure.
• Administer and support:
• Compute Engine
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Cloud Storage
• Cloud SQL
• BigQuery
• Cloud Functions
• App Engine
• Pub/Sub
• Cloud Run
• Manage multi-project and multi-region cloud environments.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud services.

Cloud Operations & Support

• Provide L3 support for critical production incidents.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Lead troubleshooting for:
• Compute issues
• Network connectivity
• Storage failures
• Application performance problems
• Kubernetes platform issues
• Participate in major incident management and war-room calls.

Kubernetes & Containerization

• Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot GKE clusters.
• Manage containerized applications using:
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Perform cluster upgrades, scaling, and security hardening.
• Configure ingress controllers, service meshes, and load balancing.
• Implement container security best practices.

Cloud Networking & Security

• Manage and troubleshoot:
• VPC Networks
• Cloud Routers
• Cloud NAT
• VPN Connectivity
• Interconnect
• DNS Services
• Load Balancers
• Configure IAM policies and RBAC controls.
• Implement cloud security standards and compliance requirements.
• Manage firewall rules, security policies, and access governance.
• Support Identity Federation and Single Sign-On integrations.

Infrastructure Automation & DevOps

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using:
• Terraform
• Deployment Manager
• Automate operational tasks using:
• Python
• Shell Scripting
• Google Cloud SDK
• Support CI/CD pipelines using:
• GitHub Actions
• Jenkins
• GitLab CI/CD
• Cloud Build
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Monitoring & Performance Management

• Implement and manage:

• Configure dashboards, alerts, and proactive monitoring.
• Perform capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Ensure SLA adherence and service availability.

Governance & Compliance

• Enforce cloud governance standards and security controls.
• Conduct security assessments and cloud audits.
• Support compliance requirements such as:

• Maintain cloud architecture documentation and operational runbooks.
