Hardware & Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Onkar Films & Studio is looking for a reliable and technically skilled Hardware & Electrical Maintenance Technician to manage and maintain office, studio, and production-related technical equipment. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting computers, laptops, electronic devices, electrical wiring, lighting systems, and basic networking issues to ensure smooth day-to-day studio operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, printers, and computer hardware issues
- Install and configure software, systems, and peripherals
- Maintain office and studio electrical systems, switches, wiring, and lighting connections
- Handle setup and maintenance of shoot lights, extension boards, power connections, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot internet, Wi-Fi, and networking-related issues
- Perform regular maintenance checks for office and studio equipment
- Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs if required
- Ensure all electrical and electronic equipment functions safely and efficiently
- Support production and post-production teams with technical setup requirements
- Maintain inventory of technical tools, cables, adapters, and spare equipment
- Assist team members with basic software installation and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Diploma/ITI/Certification in Hardware, Electronics, Electrical, or related field
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and electrical maintenance
- Basic knowledge of software installation, troubleshooting, and system setup
- Experience in troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and electronic devices
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and lighting setup maintenance
- Ability to work independently and solve technical problems quickly
- Prior experience in a production house, studio, or office setup is preferred
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of CCTV setup and maintenance
- Knowledge of UPS/Inverter systems
- Familiarity with studio lighting equipment and power management
- Basic understanding of LAN/Wi-Fi configuration
