Work Location: South Delhi
Compensation: Up to ₹18–20 LPA, based on fit and experience
About the Role
An interior design and arhitecture studio is looking for a Head – Accounts & Commercial Operations to lead its accounts function with accuracy, integrity, process discipline, and strong client-facing communication.
This role is ideal for someone who is strong in accounting, GST, taxation, Tally, reporting, and compliance – but also has the maturity to work with senior stakeholders, understand contracts, follow up on payments, and build reliable systems.
This is not a CFO role. It is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can become the organisation’s second command in accounts and finance operations.
What You Will Do
- Lead the accounts function and manage a small internal accounts team.
- Handle accounting, GST, taxation, Tally, and statutory compliance.
- Prepare accurate monthly reports for leadership reviews.
- Maintain invoice trackers, payment follow-ups, and financial documentation.
- Work closely with Partners, Group Leaders, and project teams on contract-linked invoicing.
- Coordinate with client commercial / accounts teams for payment realisation.
- Draft clear, professional emails related to invoices, deliverables, compliance, and payment status.
- Identify recurring accounting or reporting issues and convert them into better systems.
- Coordinate with external auditors / Chartered Accountant advisors where required.
What We Are Looking For
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounts / finance operations.
- Strong command over Tally, GST, taxation, and accounting compliance.
- Experience preparing management reports and outstanding invoice trackers.
- Ability to read contracts and connect billing milestones with project deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- Comfort interacting with senior internal stakeholders and client-side commercial teams.
- Process-driven mindset; ability to reduce errors and improve systems.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and ownership.
- Ability to manage and guide a small accounts team.
Good to Have
- Experience in architecture, design, consulting, branding, management consulting, or professional services.
- Exposure to project-based billing or milestone-linked invoicing.
- Experience working with corporate clients and their commercial teams.
- CA / CA-inter / strong accounting qualification preferred.
