Role Description
The Head – Circular Economy & Supply Chain (Tyre & Plastic EPR) will be a visionary leader responsible for the end-to-end success of the Circular Economy verticals (Tyre and Plastic EPR). This role requires a unique blend of strategic supply chain management, deep regulatory knowledge for dual-EPR (Tyre and Plastic), and technical mastery over plant operations for both waste streams.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Supply Chain & Sourcing Strategy
● Develop and execute a unified sourcing roadmap for all feedstocks (End-of-Life Tyres, Post-Consumer Plastic Waste, etc.) across various Indian geographies.
● Build and manage a high-performance vendor and supplier network to trade for both tyre and plastic recycling plants.
● Optimize logistics and reverse supply chain operations to minimize costs and maximize throughput.
● Structure commercial proposals and feasibility studies to secure long-term sale contracts with institutional and industrial partners.
2. Dual-EPR & Regulatory Compliance
● Serve as the primary subject matter expert on Plastic and Tyre Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policies and mandates.
● Manage EPR targets for both streams (Tyre and Plastic, including PIBOs/CPCB categories), ensuring the generation, tracking, and sale of certificates in alignment with CPCB/SPCB guidelines.
● Represent the division in government forums, industry associations, and regulatory discussions regarding circular economy frameworks.
3. Leadership & Strategic Growth
● Build and mentor a multi-disciplinary team spanning plant operations, supply chain management, and commercial functions.
● Define the long-term roadmap for vertical expansion, including joint ventures and new facility investments.
● Cultivate a performance-driven culture focused on innovation, safety, and accountability.
Qualifications and Skills:-
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering; MBA preferred.
● Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in the Tyre recycling and Plastic Waste Management sectors.
● Technical Knowledge: Expertise in pyrolysis technology, devulcanization, and crumb rubber manufacturing; well-versed with Plastic recycling & EPR compliance
● Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of CPCB/SPCB regulatory frameworks and EPR certificate management.
● Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
● Mindset: Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to build and scale a division from the ground up.
