Reporting Relationship: Head – Communications and Research —-> Chief Executive Officer
Purpose:
To lead and institutionalize strategic, community anchored and research driven communications for Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) deepening its thought leadership efforts in the social impact ecosystem. The role will anchor the development of strong, multi-format content and platforms grounded in research and evidence, evincing societal perspective and accomplishments and evidencing impacts and outcomes of TSF, own the unified brand identity and positioning of TSF and build deep internal communication protocols which define a cohesive culture for an organization as diverse and dispersed as TSF. The role will be part of the senior leadership of TSF collectively responsible for giving shape to the vision of an enlightened and equitable society.
Key Deliverables:
• Deliver cohesive, high-impact communication outcomes across all five functions (Brand Management, Digital, Internal, External Communication & Content Management) through integrated planning, execution, and performance tracking.
• Develop dynamic communication plans aligned to organizational priorities, ensuring timely response to both planned and emerging needs.
• Develop evidence based research and public policy briefs in collaboration with thematic leaders of TSF drawn from implementation experience of Tata Steel Foundation.
• Ensure consistent and effective implementation of TSF brand guidelines across all programmes, sub-brands, and partnerships through periodic governance and audits.
• Engender brand TSF as a respectable entity in social media domain emerging out of ground-up content, community driven narrative and people-first approach.
• Strengthen TSF’s external visibility and credibility through strategic media engagement, stakeholder outreach, and participation in key platforms.
• Garner employee convergence (existing & new) and engagement by leveraging internal communication platforms, storytelling, and structured engagement initiatives.
• Provide continuous, need-based communication and branding support to all themes and programmes, improving visibility of impact at scale.
• Optimize utilization of the communications budget by ensuring cost-effective planning, execution, and monitoring of all communication initiatives.
• Position TSF as a thought leader by driving advocacy, building strategic partnerships, and amplifying its voice across the development ecosystem.
• Build a high-performing team by enabling decision-making, fostering innovation, and strengthening capabilities across communication functions.
Work experience in years : More than 10 Years of relevant experience(Communication / Public Relations preferred)
Minimum Qualification : Full time Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in any discipline (Communication / Public Relations preferred)
