A fast-growing, venture-backed startup in the consumer commerce space, currently expanding across multiple cities in India. The company is building a strong operations and fulfilment network to support rapid growth and customer experience.
Role Mandate
Own and scale the operational backbone of a high-growth consumer platform. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless fulfilment, inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and last-mile delivery operations across cities.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in operations, logistics, warehouse management, and city-scale execution in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & SLA Management
- Drive operational excellence and ensure fulfilment timelines are consistently met
- Monitor customer experience and operational turnaround metrics
2. Warehouse Operations
- Manage end-to-end warehouse operations including picking, packing, dispatch, audits, and returns
- Improve warehouse productivity and operational efficiency
3. Inventory Management
- Own inventory accuracy and lifecycle management
- Handle stock movement, shrinkage control, dead stock reduction, and write-offs
- Build strong inventory tracking processes
4. Last-Mile Fulfilment
- Oversee routing, fleet operations, delivery execution, and reverse logistics
- Improve fleet utilisation and delivery turnaround time
5. City Expansion
- Set up and operationalise new city infrastructure from scratch
- Manage warehouse setup, hiring, vendor onboarding, and process implementation
6. Operational Metrics
Track and improve key KPIs such as:
- SLA adherence
- Cost per order
- Inventory turns
- Damage and shrinkage rates
- Warehouse productivity
- Delivery turnaround time
7. SOPs & Process Excellence
- Design and implement scalable SOPs
- Ensure process adherence across frontline teams
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 6+ years of experience in operations within logistics, quick commerce, e-commerce, on-demand delivery, or supply chain-driven businesses
- Strong experience managing warehouse operations and last-mile fulfilment at scale
- Hands-on exposure to inventory management and operational cost optimisation
- Experience managing frontline teams including warehouse staff, delivery executives, and external partners
- Strong operational rigor with a data-driven approach to problem solving
- Comfortable working in high-growth startup environments
Preferred Background
- Experience handling high-value or fragile inventory categories such as electronics, appliances, lifestyle, or premium consumer products will be an added advantage
