The Head of Robotics Innovation / Automation Strategy Director / Intelligent Systems Lead is responsible for leading the development and deployment of advanced robotics, automation, and intelligent systems within the organization. This role drives innovation in robotics technologies, process automation, and AI-powered systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include defining the robotics and automation strategy, overseeing research and development of new systems, and managing the implementation of robotic solutions across operations, manufacturing, or product lines. The role involves collaborating with engineering, IT, operations, and business teams to identify opportunities for automation and to design scalable, safe, and cost-effective solutions.

This position also monitors emerging trends in robotics, AI, and intelligent systems, evaluating new technologies for potential adoption. At senior levels, responsibilities expand to leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets, setting strategic roadmaps, and advising executive leadership on innovation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• Proven experience in robotics development, automation, or intelligent systems leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of robotics technologies, AI/ML integration, control systems, and automation frameworks
• Experience in R&D, system design, and deployment of robotics or intelligent systems
• Strong leadership and team management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams
• Strategic thinking with ability to define technology roadmaps and innovation strategies
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, resource planning, and program delivery
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
• Familiarity with industrial automation, collaborative robots (cobots), or autonomous systems is a plus
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level presentations
• Passion for emerging technologies and a track record of driving innovation initiatives
