As the Operations Head, you will be responsible for building and scaling our client’s end-to-end operations from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring ownership of supply chain, manufacturing, vendor partnerships, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure seamless product delivery as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations (procurement to delivery)
• Identify, onboard, and manage third-party manufacturers and vendors
• Establish production planning systems aligned with demand forecasts
• Implement quality control processes to ensure product consistency and compliance
• Manage inventory, warehousing, and distribution logistics across regions
• Drive cost optimization without compromising product quality
• Ensure regulatory compliance (FSSAI, labelling, packaging norms, etc.)
• Build SOPs, processes, and systems for operational scalability
• Collaborate with sales team to align production with market demand
Key Requirements
• 8 -12+ years of experience in operations/supply chain in FMCG or beverage industry
• Strong understanding of contract manufacturing and vendor ecosystems
• Experience in setting up operations from scratch or scaling early-stage businesses
• Knowledge of food safety, compliance, and quality standards in India
• Excellent problem-solving and execution skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in a beverage startup or D2C/FMCG brand mandatory
• Exposure to cold chain logistics or perishable goods management
• MBA/Operations degree with relevant background
• Strong vendor network in North India Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Cost per unit production and margin optimization
• On-time production and delivery rates
• Vendor performance and turnaround times
• Inventory turnover ratio
• Product quality metrics and defect rates
• Operational scalability readiness
