Job Summary:

Parmanu Defence Dehradun, is seeking a responsible, disciplined, and caring Hostel Warden to ensure the smooth operation of the hostel. The ideal candidate should be able to create a homely and secure environment for the students while maintaining discipline, hygiene, and overall well-being of the hostel residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Welfare & Pastoral Care
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and discipline of all hostel residents.
• Act as a guardian to students and provide emotional and moral support.
• Handle student grievances and provide guidance when needed.
• Discipline & Conduct
• Maintain discipline in the hostel and ensure adherence to hostel rules and regulations.
• Monitor students’ attendance, movement, and behavior.
• Take necessary action in case of any indiscipline or misconduct.
• Health & Hygiene
• Ensure proper cleanliness and hygiene in the hostel premises.
• Monitor students’ health and arrange for medical assistance when required.
• Maintain records of medical issues and communicate with parents if necessary.
• Safety & Security
• Ensure the safety and security of all residents.
• Coordinate with institute administration regarding any security concerns.
• Maintain a record of students’ entry and exit timings.
• Daily Operations & Administration
• Supervise daily routines, including meal timings, activities, study hours, and lights-out timings.
• Ensure proper maintenance of hostel infrastructure and report issues to management.
• Maintain hostel attendance records and student logbooks.
• Coordination & Communication
• Liaise with parents, teachers, and institute authorities regarding student concerns.
• Organize and oversee hostel activities to promote a positive living environment.
• Conduct regular meetings with students to address their concerns and feedback.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate/Postgraduate from a recognized university.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a reputed residential school.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle emergencies with a calm and composed demeanor.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and health care is an advantage.

Other Requirements:

• Should be compassionate, approachable, and disciplined.
• Must be willing to reside within the hostel premises.
• Should be capable of handling adolescents and their concerns effectively.
