Basic Scope of Job

As an Infrastructure Tech Lead you will be leading the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of infrastructure for a fast-growing FinTech across different markets.

You will act as a hands-on technical leader, guiding the team while remaining deeply involved in design and execution across multiple regions.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Define standards and best practices while developing custom cloud services using Kubernetes and managing on premise infrastructures through Ansible and Linux automation.
• Database and Platform Ownership: Provide technical ownership of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance, availability, and proper operational practices.
• Documentation and Technical Standards: Ensure clear and up to date documentation for infrastructure architectures, operational processes, and runbooks. Promote consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Security and Networking Leadership: Own infrastructure security design and implementation. Oversee network architecture including firewalls, NAT, and site to site VPN tunnels, ensuring secure and resilient connectivity across environments.
• Observability and Reliability: Define and oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using platforms such as Elastic and Prometheus. Drive reliability practices including incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Team Leadership and Collaboration: Act as a technical leader and mentor for infrastructure engineers. Work closely with cross functional teams, provide technical guidance, review designs and implementations, and contribute hands on when needed.

Generic & Soft Skills

• On-premises infrastructure administration including troubleshooting, virtualization and networking.
• Kubernetes management and container orchestration.
• Experience with Azure or any major cloud provider.
• Expertise in using Ansible for configuration management and Terraform for cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Linux administration skills with proven record of advanced Linux operation.
• Strong understanding of Networking including Firewall, NATing, knowledge of Pfsense or FortiGate is a big plus.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and logging solutions such as Elastic, Prometheus or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Database tuning is a big plus.
• A proactive independent contributor who can deliver complex E2E solutions and ability to lead discussions with external stakeholders
