Insights Manager – India Area Full Time

We are hiring a passionate and curious thinker to set up and lead our business & consumer insights function in India. This person will be looking for new opportunities of growth in India for the existing portfolio of brands (like, Jack Daniel’s, Woodford Reserve, The Glendronach, El Jimador) and also new brands including development of a strong innovation pipeline.

The Insights manager is a thought leader within the business and marketing team, providing insight, ideas and strategies to unlock growth, accelerate Brown-Forman’s competitive edge and support the organisation in its objective to be the best brand builders. This position is responsible for delivering analysis of multi-channels trends, developing tools & reports in close co-operation with the marketing & sales team. The insights manager is an important stakeholder in the marketing team to build an entrepreneurially spirited company, with a strong consumer centric brand business planning.

• Test & Learn approach across the business in cross functional projects with Insight and trends
• Create and develop regular insightful reports based on available market data (Category, Shopper and consumer)
• Identify opportunities and threats for B-F brand, data joining the dots from various sources of information and build a strong dynamic competitive intelligence
• Build data backed-insights as a key input to annual country and brand plans
• Marketing teams to help ideate, guide, monitor and measure all brand building and sales activation
• Develop strong working relationships with internal, external (data & research agencies) and global stakeholders
• Establish metrics that support the Brown-Forman Growth Framework. Improve competitiveness, effectiveness and efficiency of brand plans and activations

What You Bring To The Table

• Post graduation in marketing or a related field, with a strong 6 to 8 years of consumer insights experience in lifestyle-luxury consumer brands (experience in alcobev will be an added advantage but not essential)
• Excellent quantitative research skills and understanding of qualitative research experience in agency/ client side
• Advanced statistical analysis and excellent knowledge of panels and data analysis software and an aptitude for the manipulation and interrogation of databases. Familiarity with a broad range of consumer, category and shopper research and sources of data (Nielsen, Kantar, IWSR etc)
• Manage multiple projects within required timelines along with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong business acumen and judgement along with strategic capabilities
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with strong ability to influence through data-insights led storytelling
• Put research into business terms with strong listening, presentation & story-telling skills
• Collaborative team player with excellent persuasiveness & interpersonal skills; building strong working relationships with key stakeholders
