Intern – Agentic AI Builder Full Time NEW

We are hiring: Lead Agentic AI Builder

VitaInspire is building AI products for social good, focused on delivering measurable value to underserved communities across healthcare, agriculture, and education.

We are looking for a highly motivated Lead AI Intern with strong hands-on experience in AI agents, agentic workflows, LLM applications, open-source model integration, and AI product deployment.

This role is for someone who can build agentic AI solutions hands-on, guide others, and help the team move from demo-level AI experiments to production-grade AI products.

This is not a coordination-only role. We need someone who can build, review, mentor, and lead by example.

Experience Expected

Around 2 years of AI product-building experience preferred.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who can:

• Design and build AI agents and agentic workflows
• Build multi-step AI workflows using LLMs, tools, memory, retrieval, structured outputs, and workflow orchestration
• Work with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK, or similar tools
• Integrate AI agents into real VitaInspire applications
• Deploy and integrate open-source AI/LLM models where suitable
• Support production deployment of VitaInspire products
• Build reliable RAG, automation, document AI, chatbot, and workflow intelligence features
• Define when an AI agent is useful and when a simpler workflow is better
• Evaluate model outputs for accuracy, reliability, safety, and usefulness
• Guide the team in choosing the right AI models, tools, frameworks, and architectures
• Mentor junior engineers and interns
• Review work for quality, usability, reliability, maintainability, and production-readiness
• Help the team understand the difference between demo-level AI projects and real production-grade systems
• Use AI coding and agentic development tools effectively for planning, building, debugging, testing, documentation, and deployment support
• Clearly understand what AI coding agents can accelerate, where they fail, and how to review, validate, and productionize their output

Tools and Skills We Value

• Strong practical experience building AI agents and LLM-based applications
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, tool calling, function calling, structured outputs, and workflow orchestration
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development workflows using tools such as OpenClaw, Claude Code / Claude coworker-style tools, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or similar
• Ability to combine AI agents, coding assistants, and human review to build reliable production-grade applications
• Strong Python and API development skills
• Familiarity with FastAPI, Supabase, PostgreSQL, React, Vercel, Render, AWS, GCP, Hugging Face, Ollama, vLLM, or similar tools
• Understanding of production concerns such as security, reliability, observability, cost control, privacy, testing, evaluation, fallback handling, and error handling
• Ability to mentor and motivate a small team

Startup Mindset Required

VitaInspire is an early-stage startup, so this role needs someone with strong passion, commitment, ownership, and hunger to excel.

The right candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity, fast learning, changing priorities, and solving problems without waiting for perfect instructions.

This is best suited for someone who wants to lead by example, raise the team’s standards, and help build production-grade AI products for real-world social impact.

Evaluation Structure

The role starts with a 2-month evaluation period:

Month 1: Remote evaluation

Basic stipend. Focus on technical strength, agentic AI skills, communication, ownership, learning speed, and ability to deliver independently.

Month 2: Onsite evaluation in Hyderabad

Higher stipend. Focus on hands-on product delivery, mentoring, team guidance, agentic AI implementation, open-source model integration, and production deployment mindset.

Based on performance and deliverables, the role may be extended into a 6-month internship with a higher stipend.

Continuation depends strictly on performance, ownership, leadership, learning attitude, and quality of deliverables.
