ShareChat (Mohalla Tech Pvt Ltd) is India’s largest homegrown social media company and the only local player to achieve profitability in the industry, with 200+ million Monthly Monetizable Users across all its platforms.

Founded in 2015, ShareChat has social media brands such as the ShareChat App and Moj App and micro drama app QuickTV under its portfolio. This growth has led to a 28% YoY revenue growth in the July–Sept (2025–26) quarter and increased it by more than 60% in the Oct–Dec quarter.

What You’ll Do?

• Design, write, and execute manual test cases for web and mobile applications across functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Test and validate code generated by AI agents — analysing outputs for correctness, edge cases, security issues, and alignment with product requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Linear); reproduce issues and verify fixes.
• Review AI-generated code outputs against acceptance criteria and flag ambiguous, incorrect, or unsafe behaviour.
• Collaborate with developers to understand feature specs and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.
• Perform smoke, sanity, and UAT testing on new releases before deployment.
• Maintain and update test documentation, test plans, and QA checklists.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Provide clear, reproducible bug reports with steps, screenshots, and severity ratings.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and help build a culture of quality within the team.

Who you are?

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with at least one bug-tracking or project management tool (Jira, Linear, Trello, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand code in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, or similar) — you don’t need to write it, just review it.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AI/LLM tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) and awareness of how AI-generated code can fail.
• Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST Client.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of basic accessibility and security testing principles.
• Prior internship or project experience in QA or software testing.
