Job Description
NOC Analyst
Summary
The NOC Analyst is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting enterprise systems and production environments in a 24×7 setting. Using tools such as CA Scheduler, SCOM, QMM, Nagios, SolarWinds, and others, this role ensures systems operate efficiently, issues are resolved quickly, and service levels are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise systems, networks, and applications using SCOM, Nagios, SolarWinds, and related monitoring tools.
- Execute and monitor production job schedules using CA Scheduler, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Respond to alerts and incidents, perform initial triage, and escalate according to defined procedures.
- Analyze and document recurring issues to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Perform system health checks, capacity monitoring, and routine operational tasks.
- Support implementation of automation and process enhancements to improve efficiency.
- Assist in disaster recovery (DR) testing and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to established procedures, security standards, and service level requirements (SLRs).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 1+ years in IT operations, NOC support, or system monitoring roles.
- Technical Skills: Experience with CA Scheduler, SCOM, QMM, Nagios, SolarWinds; knowledge of production control processes, incident management, and system monitoring.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; ability to work under pressure in a 24×7 environment; solid communication and teamwork abilities.
