About Future Institute:
Based in Maheshtala, Future Institute is a premier educational center focused on bridging the gap between foundational academics and future-ready IT skills. We believe in empowering the next generation of innovators. As part of our expanding outreach, we are partnering with schools across Kolkata to deliver hands-on, high-quality technical education directly in their classrooms for students up to Grade 12.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and energetic Tech Educator/Trainer to lead our in-school IT programs. In this role, you will travel to our partner schools to teach dynamic, project-based classes covering everything from foundational Block-Based coding for younger children to advanced AI/ML, Web Development, and Robotics for high schoolers. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and a natural ability to make complex concepts fun, engaging, and easy to understand for K-12 students.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Engaging Curriculum: Teach structured syllabus in partner schools across various age groups (Grades 1 through 12).
Foundational Tech (Primary/Middle School): Teach Block-Based Programming using Scratch, MIT App Inventor, Tinkercad, Google Teachable Machine, and PictoBlox.
Advanced Tech (High School): Instruct senior students in core Programming Languages (Python, Java, C, C++), Web Development (HTML/CSS, JS, React, SpringBoot), and foundational AI/ML concepts.
Hands-on Robotics: Lead interactive Robotics and IoT sessions using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and basic sensors.
Classroom Management: Maintain an engaging, disciplined, and interactive classroom environment within the school setting.
Project Mentorship: Guide students in building real-world projects, preparing them for tech exhibitions, competitions, and board exams.
Collaboration: Act as an ambassador for Future Institute, maintaining a positive relationship with school administrators and teachers.
Required Qualifications & Skills: Education: B.Tech/B.E. (Computer Science, IT, Electronics) or BCA/MCA/B.Sc IT.
Technical Expertise:
Proficient in at least one major programming language (Python, Java, or C++).
Familiarity with foundational Web Development and Robotics hardware (Arduino/Raspberry Pi).
Knowledge of block-based visual coding platforms (Scratch, Tinkercad) is highly preferred.
Teaching Aptitude: Genuine passion for teaching children and teens. Ability to break down complex technical jargon into simple, relatable concepts.
Experience: Prior experience as a school teacher, coding instructor, or conducting technical workshops is a major advantage. Freshers with exceptional technical and communication skills are welcome to apply.
Language Skills: Excellent verbal communication in English, Bengali, and Hindi.
Mobility: Willingness to travel to different partner schools within Kolkata.
