Job Title: IT Infrastructure Consultant (Linux)

Location: Mumbai (Andheri East)

Department: IT Infra

Employment Type: Full-Time (WFH)

Operation Hours: 8 Hours (Afternoon/Evening) – 5 days working (Sat & Sun – week off)

Position Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Consultant (Linux) handles assigned projects and technical initiatives efficiently and effectively. They must have strong technical expertise in Linux systems and related management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively deploy and maintain Linux infrastructure to ensure 24x7x365 up time.
• Engineering of solutions for various projects and operational needs
• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
• Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
• Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hot fixes
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
• Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes

Qualifications:

• B. E / B.Tech

Must have:

• 5 – 7 years’ experience in Linux administration and management
• In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS etc.
• Hands-on experience with databases on Linux
• Hands-on experience with VMWare and understanding of virtualization concepts
• Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP and SNMP
• Expertise in working with automation tools such as Ansible, Salt etc.
• Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Good learner and able to pick up new technology quickly.

Good to have:

• Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure such as Nutanix
• Experience and familiarity with storage solutions.
• Experience and familiarity with AWS.
