IT Support Specialist -India Full Time

Systems & Infrastructure Management

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, storage, network equipment, endpoints, and cloud services.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all hardware and software systems.
• Perform updates, patches, and routine maintenance across all systems.
• Monitor system health, diagnose issues, and provide timely resolutions.

End-User & Operational Support

• Provide responsive, hands-on support to local users, resolving hardware, software, printer, and network issues.
• Set up and configure desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware.
• Support standard business applications, including Microsoft 365, remote access tools, and enterprise software.
• Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, incidents, and support processes.

Hardware & Software Asset Management

• Support IT asset lifecycle management including procurement, deployment, inventory, and disposal.
• Coordinate with approved vendors for hardware and software acquisition, warranty claims, and repairs.

Security & Compliance

• Enforce global IT security policies, including endpoint protection, patch compliance, and access control.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments, audits, and incident response activities.
• Ensure compliance with group data governance and protection protocols.

ERP & Application Support

• Assist with support of ERP systems and escalate issues as required.
• Work with global teams to support application upgrades, integrations, and performance improvements.

Project & Collaboration

• Participate in regional and global IT projects including deployments, migrations, and rollouts.
• Liaise with external vendors and internal teams to ensure delivery of local IT needs.
• Follow group IT instructions and procedures, ensuring local execution aligns with global standards.

ERP Support

• Provide functional support for the ERP platform, assisting end users with day‑to‑day transaction processing, navigation and system-usage issues. Microsoft Dynamics AX and Business Central experience advantageous.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to analyse transaction errors, workflow failures, and posting issues, ensuring accurate data flow across modules.
• Diagnose user-reported ERP problems by reproducing transactions in a test environment, validating steps, and comparing results to identify root causes and data discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to item setup, product configurations, and missing master data, including postings, item templates, costing methods, and ledger configurations.
• Maintain clear documentation of issues, resolutions, test results, and process impacts to ensure repeatability and audit compliance.
• Assist users with connection issues, access permissions, role-based security, and interface problems to ensure continuous availability of ERP services.
• Support change requests and system enhancements by validating functional behaviour across environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in ERP support/Implementation in manufacturing industry (Microsoft Navision/BC preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure roles.
• Solid understanding of:
• Microsoft Windows Server & Active Directory
• Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
• Networking: firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN
• Endpoint management tools and remote support technologies
• Familiarity with IT asset management and ITSM tools.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently and collaborate globally.

Preferred Qualifications

• IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, CompTIA).
• Prior experience in multinational or regional IT environments.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as Dynamics AX, or similar.
• Basic scripting skills in PowerShell or Python are a plus.
