Position Description:
A Java Backend Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless integration with front-end components
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side web application logic using Java, ensuring responsiveness and efficiency of applications.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Design, implement, and manage databases and data storage solutions, including creating schemas that support business processes.
- Develop and maintain APIs to enable communication between front-end, back-end, and external services.
- Identify and fix bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues in backend code.
- Implement security and data protection measures to safeguard sensitive information.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, such as microservices, cloud-native solutions, and CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Must Have skill
Hard Skills – Java Backend Developer
- Java programming language (Java 17+)
- Spring Boot framework
- Mastery of development best practices (TDD, SOLID principles, BDD, Clean Code, etc.)
- Automation of technical and quality tests
- Ability to produce clear, structured technical documentation
- Understanding of software architecture concepts, including UML
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Strong experience with SQL databases
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins and SonarQube
Good to Have skill
- Knowledge of Angular
- Experience with Cloud environments
- Experience with Java and Spark
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Fluent English (spoken and written) – mandatory
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
