Jira Administrator Full Time

Plan A Technologies is looking for a dedicated Senior Jira Administrator. In this position, you will be responsible for administering, managing, and maintaining both on‑prem and cloud Jira environments. Requires deep expertise in Jira Software and Jira Service Management, including workflow customization, global configuration management, schema dependencies, and a strong understanding of Cloud vs. Data Center architectures.

Please note: you must have at least 7+ years of experience leading a team and guiding technical discussions, gathering requirements, and translating business processes into Jira solutions to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibility & Experience

• 7+ years experience leading a team and guiding technical discussions, gathers requirements, and translates business processes into Jira solutions.
• Expertise with Automation for Jira, ScriptRunner (Groovy), and workflow extensions such as JMWE/JSU.
• Strong admin-level experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, Tempo, and test management tools (Xray, TestRail, Zephyr).
• Skilled in managing Atlassian Access, SSO, and Marketplace apps/integrations.
• Proficient with Jira REST APIs, webhooks, and integrations (MS Teams, GitHub, ServiceNow, Salesforce).
• Able to build/troubleshoot custom integrations, perform database backup/restore, and support migrations (on‑prem → cloud).
• Nice to have: familiarity with JSON, C#, JavaScript, GraphQL.
• Experience managing large multi-team Jira instances with standards, naming conventions, workflow governance, and cleanup processes.
• Supports Agile-at-scale frameworks.
• Skilled in building dashboards, JQL-driven reports, and interpreting Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, SLAs).
• Strong in permission schemes, roles, global permissions, and audit/compliance requirements (SOX, GDPR).
• Strong communicator who influences adoption of best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, and interpersonal skills
• Initiative and drive to do great things
