Job OverviewWe are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our ReD team in Gurugram. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals (0–1 years) who are eager to build scalable, cloud-based data solutions and gain hands-on experience working with modern data engineering tools and frameworks.
You will work closely with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain data pipelines that support analytics and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Understand and assist in developing ETL/ELT pipelines following industry best practicesSupport the design and implementation of data lakes and data warehouses for analytical use cases
Work with senior engineers to optimize existing data pipelines and automate manual processes
Assist in diagnosing existing data architecture and help identify data quality and performance gaps
Develop, test, and maintain modular and reusable data processing code
Collaborate with data scientists to enable reliable data pipelines for machine learning models
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Interact with cross-functional teams, including technology and business users, to understand data requirements
Technical Requirements
0–1 years of experience or strong academic/project background in data engineeringProficiency in Python for data processing and automation
Basic understanding of distributed data processing concepts
Exposure To Or Foundational Knowledge Of:
Apache Spark / Spark SQLKafka or streaming concepts (basic understanding is sufficient)
Hive or similar data warehousing tools
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
Hands-on or academic exposure to Azure services
Basic understanding of Git version control
Exposure To Or Foundational Knowledge Of:
