About the Role

We are looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Executive to manage and grow our digital presence across multiple social media platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of social media trends, audience engagement, and content management. Candidates from a News or Media background will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and handle social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content aligned with brand objectives.
• Monitor social media trends, viral content, and industry updates to improve engagement.
• Coordinate with design, content, and video teams for creative execution.
• Write engaging captions, post copies, and social media content.
• Track audience engagement, comments, messages, and community interactions.
• Analyze social media performance metrics and prepare basic reports.
• Assist in planning social media campaigns and content calendars.
• Ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in Social Media Management or Digital Content.
• Background in News, Media, Journalism, or Digital Media preferred.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and audience engagement.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of content planning, hashtags, reels, and platform algorithms.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced content environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Canva, Meta Business Suite, or social media scheduling tools.
• Understanding of analytics and social media insights.
• Knowledge of current affairs, trending topics, and digital storytelling is a plus.
