Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Loading & Unloading Supervisor, based in Howrah, West Bengal. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the loading and unloading activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and timely operations. Key tasks include supervising the work of the loading team, inspecting goods for proper handling, managing schedules, reporting daily activities, and adhering to safety and operational standards. Communication with relevant departments and maintaining inventory records are also key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising loading and unloading operations and managing a team.
• Knowledge of safety protocols, operational standards, and inventory management practices.
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to handle schedules and logistics effectively.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills to liaise with colleagues and address operational challenges.
• Relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors; familiarity with handling heavy equipment is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
