Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Manager Accounting/Assistant Manager Accounting role based in Thiruvananthapuram Taluk. The role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, accurate and timely recording of journal entries, and maintenance of financial records in line with Hilton policies and local regulations. The professional in this role will prepare, review, and analyze periodic financial statements and reports, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for hotel operations. Responsibilities include managing fixed assets accounting, monitoring capital expenditures, ensuring proper asset tagging, and overseeing depreciation and disposals. The role also involves coordinating audits, supporting internal controls and compliance, collaborating with operations and finance teams, and mentoring junior team members to uphold high standards of financial integrity.
Qualifications

• Strong financial reporting capabilities, including experience preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and management reports.
• Proficiency in core accounting operations, including Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Solid grounding in Finance, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow awareness.
• Experience managing Fixed Assets, including capitalization, depreciation, asset tracking, and disposals in compliance with policy.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA) is an advantage.
• Experience in hospitality, service, or multi-unit business environments, preferably with international or branded hotel chains.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and MS Excel; familiarity with internal controls and audit processes.
