Manager – Indirect Sourcing Full Time NEW

The Senior Indirect Sourcing professional will lead global and regional sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories, supporting Weatherford’s Global Supply Chain objectives. The role will drive cost optimization, supplier performance, risk management, and value creation while partnering closely with global stakeholders

Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for indirect categories such as:
• IT, Telecom, Software & SaaS
• MRO & Facilities
• Logistics, Travel, Professional Services, HR services, Marketing, etc.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing projects including RFx, negotiations, contract award, and implementation.
• Identify cost-saving, value engineering, and demand management opportunities.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with global business leaders, finance, legal, and operations teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders for sourcing decisions.
• Balance cost, risk, quality, and service levels.

Supplier Management

• Lead supplier selection, performance management, and relationship governance.
• Drive supplier consolidation and strategic partnerships.
• Monitor supplier risk, compliance, and ESG alignment.

Contracting & Compliance

• Ensure contracts meet Weatherford legal, financial, and compliance standards.
• Manage commercial terms, SLAs, KPIs, and renewal strategies.
• Support audits and regulatory requirements.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Use spend analytics to identify opportunities and track savings.
• Support digital procurement tools and process improvements.
• Benchmark against industry best practices.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Contribute to building a strong sourcing capability in India supporting global operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10–15+ years of experience in indirect sourcing / procurement in a global organization.
• Strong experience managing global stakeholders and suppliers.
• Proven track record of delivering sourcing savings and strategic value.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, or large multinational companies preferred.
