An IIT alumnus start-up under DIIP (DST) since 2016, Commutec delivers B2B mobility services through its SaaS platform Fleetoz, covering employee commutes, chauffeur rentals, car leasing, and global travel.

Role Overview

Own and run complete car rental operations at Commutec covering reservations, vehicle allocation, dispatch, team management, Fleetoz platform, P&L, SOPs, and cross-functional coordination. Lead a Pan-India team of 15+ members to deliver seamless and on-time corporate transport services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reservation Management

• Manage end-to-end trip booking processes including validation, confirmation, and scheduling.
• Ensure all bookings are logged on Fleetoz with zero errors.
• Handle advance, recurring, and ad-hoc requests across all accounts.

2. Vehicle Allocation

• Coordinate with the supply team to confirm vehicle availability for every trip.
• Ensure the right vehicle is assigned based on trip type, city, and client preference.
• Manage real-time allocation and proactively resolve capacity gaps.

3. Dispatch & Driver Coordination

• Lead the dispatch team to execute every trip on time with complete driver briefings.
• Resolve driver no-shows, breakdowns, and last-minute changes immediately.
• Monitor all live trips on Fleetoz and intervene in case of any disruption.

4. Team Leadership

• Lead a Pan-India team of 15+ members across reservations, allocation, dispatch, and city coordination.
• Set daily KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and manage shifts for 24/7 coverage.
• Train team members on workflows, escalation protocols, and Fleetoz usage.

5. Fleetoz Platform Management

• Own the Fleetoz platform as the central operations management system.
• Ensure 100% real-time adoption across all trip activities.
• Coordinate with the technology team for platform enhancements and improvements.

6. SOP & Process Development

• Build and enforce SOPs across all workflows, from booking to trip closure.
• Continuously review and improve operational processes for better efficiency.

7. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Supply: Vehicle availability, capacity planning, and new city launches.
• KAM: Client SLAs, service feedback, and satisfaction management.
• Billing: Accurate trip data and timely job sheet closure.
• Sales: New client onboarding and service launch support.

8. P&L Management

• Monitor revenue, trip costs, and profitability across accounts and cities.
• Control cost drivers including vendor rates, cancellations, and idle capacity.
• Identify and recover revenue leakage while improving operational margins.

9. Client Service & Escalation Management

• Ensure SLA adherence across all corporate clients.
• Own and resolve operational escalations within defined TAT.
• Drive proactive service reviews in coordination with the KAM team.

10. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Operations MIS reports.
• Present trip volumes, on-time performance, complaints, and P&L reports to leadership.

Candidate Profile

• 5–8 years of experience in car rental, corporate transport, or mobility operations.
• Experience managing the complete operations cycle from reservation to client service delivery.
• Proven experience in leading teams of 15+ members across multiple cities.
• Exposure to SaaS platforms, P&L management, and cross-functional coordination.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in MIS and reporting.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field.
