You will spearhead strategic procurement and supply chain excellence. You will be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle—from identifying high-caliber vendors to optimizing total cost of ownership (TCO). This role requires a blend of technical engineering insight and commercial acumen to ensure our production lines remain agile, cost-effective, and quality-compliant
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement & Planning
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with annual business goals.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle: planning, forecasting, PO execution, and meticulous documentation.
- Drive Cost Savings Initiatives without compromising on material integrity or safety standards.
2. Vendor Ecosystem Management
- Sourcing: Identify and onboard new global and domestic vendors to diversify the supply base.
- Evaluation: Conduct technical audits and performance assessments to ensure vendor compliance with ISO and fire safety regulations.
- Relationships: Foster long-term, “win-win” partnerships with key suppliers to ensure priority service and supply continuity.
3. Negotiation & Contractual Governance
- Lead high-stakes negotiations for raw materials, components, and services.
- Draft and manage Rate Agreements, SLAs, and NDAs to mitigate commercial and legal risks.
4. Supply Chain & Logistics Optimization
- Optimize lead times and inventory turnover ratios to reduce working capital pressure.
- Oversee Import Procurement, including freight forwarding coordination, customs clearance, and duty optimization.
- Monitor global market trends (e.g., steel/commodity prices) to hedge against supply chain disruptions.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Production and Planning teams to ensure zero “line-stop” situations.
- Liaise with Finance for timely vendor payments and budget adherence.
- Mentor and lead the procurement team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a high-performance culture.
Candidate Profile
Technical Qualifications:
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
- Advanced Education: MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain/Materials Management is highly preferred.
- Experience: 8 to 15 years of proven track record in Strategic Sourcing or Vendor Development.
- Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced MS Excel.

- Advanced Negotiation & Influence: A master negotiator capable of navigating complex pricing structures, favorable credit terms, and service-level agreements to maximize organizational value.
- Strategic Networking: Ability to build and leverage a vast network of industry contacts, raw material suppliers, and service providers to stay ahead of market trends and ensure supply security.
- Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of Manufacturing, Engineering, or MEP industries.
- Analytical Rigor: Ability to perform “Make vs. Buy” analyses and TCO modeling.
- Soft Skills: Assertive communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- CAPEX Knowledge: Experience in technical sourcing for machinery and plant equipment.
