About Grass Capital Advisors
Grass Capital Advisors is a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm based in Houston, Texas, specialising exclusively in wealth management for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in the United States. We manage individual advisory portfolios, operate a long/short equity hedge fund, and are building a robo-advisory platform specifically designed for the NRI cross-border investor.
Our clients are Indian-American professionals — H1B holders, green card holders, and US citizens — with complex financial lives spanning India and the US. We solve what no generic US financial advisor can: RSU tax planning, NRE/NRO account strategy, cross-border wealth building, and dual-country retirement planning.
We are a growing firm led by Ganesh Kumar Budidagaddapalli, who is focused on investment management and client relationships. We are now hiring our first dedicated marketing resource to execute our 2026 growth plan and build our brand among the NRI community across the US.
The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to be the first and primary marketing person at an ambitious, niche financial advisory firm. You will own the execution of a comprehensive 2026 marketing plan designed to grow our NRI client base, build our YouTube presence, establish our referral network with Indian CPAs and attorneys, and support our acquisition of retiring independent advisory practices.
You will work directly with Ganesh, who will guide you on strategy and content direction. Your job is to execute: research, draft, schedule, coordinate, track results, and report progress. You will have significant ownership and autonomy in how you execute the plan — with clear weekly goals and outcomes.
Why this role is different
You are not joining a large marketing department. You are building the marketing function from scratch at a specialist firm with a highly specific and underserved target audience. Every piece of content you create speaks to a real NRI pain point. You will see direct correlation between your work and client inquiries, YouTube subscribers, and business growth. If you have any connection to the NRI community yourself, this role will feel deeply familiar and meaningful.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Content & Social Media
• Draft 3 LinkedIn posts per week on NRI-specific financial topics (situation stories, myth-busting, regulatory updates, market context) — You draft; Ganesh reviews and approves before posting
• Research, script, and prepare YouTube video content on financial topics
• Manage YouTube channel — titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, upload scheduling, analytics tracking
• Edit or coordinate editing of YouTube videos (basic editing or working with a freelance editor)
• Draft NRI Facebook group posts and WhatsApp message responses for Ganesh’s review
• Manage email newsletter in Mailchimp — monthly NRI-focused newsletter drafts, list management, automation setup
• Design lead magnet PDF and landing page content

2. SEO & Website Management
• Rewrite and optimize website content — page titles, meta descriptions, service page copy — with NRI-specific keywords
• Write 2 SEO blog articles per month targeting NRI search terms
• Manage Google Business Profile — photos, updates, review responses
• Monitor website analytics via Google Analytics and report monthly
• Coordinate minor website updates with the web developer
3. Referral Outreach Support
• Build and maintain target lists of Indian CPAs, immigration attorneys, and mortgage brokers in Houston using LinkedIn and Google
• Research and draft personalized outreach emails to each CPA/attorney target for Ganesh’s review and sending
• Track outreach status in a CRM or spreadsheet — who was contacted, responses received, meetings scheduled, follow-up dates
• Prepare a one-page referral partner overview document and other collateral materials
• Research and identify Indian professional events in Houston (TiE, IITAAH, temple programs) for Ganesh to attend
4. RIA Acquisition Research
• Search and monitor FP Transitions, Succession Link, and SEC IAPD database for retiring RIA opportunities in Texas
• Build and maintain a list of target RIA practices based on agreed criteria (AUM range, employee count, location, principal age)
• Draft introductory letters to retiring advisors for Ganesh’s signature and mailing
• Track acquisition pipeline stage in a simple CRM or spreadsheet
5. Workshop & Event Coordination
• Research and book venues for quarterly NRI workshops in Houston (Indian restaurants, temple halls, libraries)
• Create event registration pages and manage attendee communications
• Design workshop promotional materials (digital flyer, LinkedIn event post, group announcements)
• Collect and manage email sign-ins from workshop attendees into the main contact list
• Send post-workshop follow-up emails to attendees
6. Analytics, Reporting & Project Management
• Maintain a weekly KPI dashboard tracking: LinkedIn connections, YouTube subscribers/views, email list growth, referral meetings booked, community group engagement, website traffic
• Prepare a weekly 1-page progress report for Ganesh every Friday
• Manage the content calendar in Notion or Trello — all tasks, deadlines, and statuses visible at all times
• Track and report on SECURE 2.0 tax credit opportunities for client education content
What We Are Looking For
Essential requirements
• 3–5 years digital marketing experience
• Financial services or US-client experience
• Excellent written English — professional standard
• Hands-on LinkedIn organic content experience
• YouTube channel management experience
• Email marketing (Mailchimp or similar)
• Strong research skills (LinkedIn, Google, databases)
• Self-starter — can work independently with minimal daily supervision
• Comfortable with async remote work culture
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Highly preferred (will significantly strengthen your application)

• Knowledge of financial concepts
• Video editing skills (basic to intermediate)
• SEO content writing experience
• Familiarity with Notion, Trello, or similar PM tools
• Experience working with US-based clients remotely
• Graphic design basics (Canva sufficient)
• Understanding of SEC/FINRA marketing compliance basics
This role is NOT right for you if…
• You need constant supervision or daily hand-holding on tasks
• You have only worked in large agency teams and cannot operate solo
• You have no experience with or interest in financial services content
• Your written English is not at a professional US business standard
• You are not available willing to work in US hours

Career growth note
This is a ground-floor opportunity. As Grass Capital grows its AUM and client base, this role grows with it. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to build and lead a small marketing team within 12–18 months, set strategy, and take on a Senior Marketing Manager or CMO title. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career here, not fill a short-term contract.

Grass Capital Advisors is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) regulated by the SEC or Texas State Securities Board. All public-facing marketing materials — including LinkedIn posts, YouTube descriptions, blog articles, emails to prospects, and community group posts — must be reviewed and approved by Ganesh Budidagaddapalli before publication.
The marketing coordinator’s role is to research, draft, design, and prepare all content. Publishing and final approval always stays with the principal advisor. This is a non-negotiable regulatory requirement, not a reflection of distrust.
You will be engaged as an independent contractor. You will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement (NDA), an intellectual property assignment agreement, and a social media compliance policy as part of your onboarding.
