Role Description
Title: Marketing Trainee
Team: Marketing and Consumer Insights
Location: Bangalore
Reporting to: Manager – GBS Commercial
Duration: 6 months
Qualification: MBA
Primary Purpose of Role: You will play an important role in supporting the Digital Marketing team, contributing to the execution, and monitoring of digital marketing performance across multiple platforms. Your primary focus will be to develop expertise in leveraging digital tools, data analytics, and marketing strategies to generate actionable insights that enhance brand visibility, drive consumer engagement, and deliver business impact.
This apprenticeship will offer hands-on experience across key areas, including Social Listening, Consumer Insights, SEO and SEM, Website Optimization, Marketing Performance Dashboarding, Customer Experience and Feedback Management, and Brand Performance Tracking.
By the end of the program, you will have built a strong foundation for a successful career in Digital Marketing and broader Marketing disciplines.
Key tasks & Learning path
1. Social Listening and Consumer Insights
Understand Social Listening and Consumer Insights tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Facebook Business Manager(FBM), Cision, Emplifi, Creator IQ, GWI) and techniques for extracting actionable insights from online conversations.
Monitor digital conversations and consumer behaviours to identify consumer trends, sentiment, and brand reputation drivers. Support insight generation for marketing strategy refinement.
2. SEO and SEM
Learn SEO principles (on-page, off-page), keyword research, and basics of paid search (SEM). Tools include Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Trends and Google Keywords.
Assist in optimizing web pages and paid campaigns to improve visibility, traffic, and lead generation across digital platforms.
3. Website Optimization
Learn fundamentals of UX/UI, web analytics, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
Support the analysis and enhancement of website performance to drive better engagement, lower bounce rates, and higher conversions.
4. Marketing Performance Dashboarding
Gain hands-on skills in building marketing dashboards using tools like Power BI, Google Data Studio, and Datorama. Help develop, update, and maintain dashboards that visualize KPIs across campaigns, providing actionable reports to key stakeholders.
5. Customer Experience and Feedback Management
Understand Net Promoter Score (NPS) measurement, and feedback collection tools like Medallia.
Assist in analyzing customer feedback and patterns to identify improvement areas.
6.Brand Tracking
Learn how to track brand health through KPIs such as Brand Power, using brand tracking and analytics tools such as Kantar.
Support the team in measuring brand equity and competitive performance over time to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.
7. Collaborate with Global Stakeholders
Stakeholder management, Project management, Work with stakeholders across the globe to maintain data and gather relevant information.
