Marketing & Social Media Specialist

Full-time | Remote | 40 hours/week | Compensation INR 80,000/month+

This role involves working for a confidential quantum technology startup working at the frontier of deep tech. We are building cutting-edge technology in a fast-moving field and are looking for an energetic, curious, and highly organized Marketing & Social Media Specialist to help shape our digital presence, brand voice, and early marketing execution.

This is an early-career role for someone with excellent communication skills, strong research instincts, and a willingness to learn. Scientific or technical expertise is not required, but curiosity (especially scientific curiosity) is essential.

The person in this role will work closely with the founding team, as well as with a marketing and communications strategist, a designer, and a website developer.

What You’ll Do

• Ideate with the team and create content for digital media channels, especially LinkedIn.
• Draft social media posts, company updates, founder-brand content, announcements, and product-adjacent messaging.
• Help maintain a consistent, professional, and engaging digital presence.
• Research the landscape of quantum technology startups, deep-tech companies, and frontier-tech brands.
• Gather insights on marketing, branding, positioning, messaging, and social media strategy in the quantum and deep-tech space.
• Identify strong examples of communication from peer startups, investors, founders, and technology companies.
• Support the coordination of a website redesign and broader rebrand.
• Work with a designer and website developer to help move website and brand priorities forward.
• Help create and execute marketing plans for the company’s initial pipeline of products.
• Support content calendars, project timelines, execution checklists, and follow-through on marketing deliverables.

No specific educational qualification is required, but candidates should be able to demonstrate a track record of similar work through professional experience, internships, freelance projects, campus work, personal projects, or a portfolio.

Prior experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, content creation, branding, public relations, or related work is preferred. A portfolio or examples of previous work are strongly encouraged.

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote, full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week.

The role will require regular communication with the founding team and collaborators, with some overlap across both India and U.S. working hours. Candidates should be comfortable working across time zones and coordinating with a distributed team.

Compensation

Compensation starts at INR 80,000 per month.

• Compensation may be negotiated upward based on skills, experience, and performance after a 90-day probationary period.
