About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and values-driven SEWB Program Manager to lead and coordinate our Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB), Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) and Support & Healing East Arnhem (SHEA) programs.
This is a unique opportunity to drive culturally responsive, evidence-based mental health, psychosocial and AOD initiatives in remote Aboriginal communities.
This full‑time, fixed‑term position is available through to June 2029 and is based in Darwin, Northern Territory. The annual salary is between $131,507 to $136,490 plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, plan and deliver SEWB, CPS and SHEA programs aligned with community needs and organisational strategy
- Develop and oversee evidence-based SEWB and psychosocial interventions
- Monitor budgets, outcomes and deliverables, ensuring compliance with funding requirements
- Provide strong, culturally safe leadership and professional development for staff
- Strengthen partnerships across health, community and government sectors
- Prepare reports for funders, stakeholders and senior leadership
- Support direct client work through an appropriate case load aligned to program deliverables
About You
You are a strong program manager with a deep commitment to Aboriginal Community Control and culturally safe practice, particularly within remote settings.
Essential Requirements
- Diploma in Community Services or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in SEWB, psychosocial or AOD services in remote settings
- Demonstrated program management and team leadership experience
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultural protocols and Yolŋu contexts
- Commitment to self-determination and community-led service delivery
- Capacity to travel and stay in remote communities
- Current Ochre Card (NT Working with Children Check) or ability to obtain
- Willingness to meet Miwatj Health vaccination and screening requirements
