Procurement Specialist / Manager

ROLE SNAPSHOT —

• Location/Schedule: Remote (U.S. or India), Full-Time
• Purpose: Build and operate a high-performance sourcing engine that enables scalable, compliant, and cost-effective product innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES —

• Architect and manage a multi-category supplier ecosystem across ingredients, electronics, manufacturing, packaging, and lab services.
• Lead structured sourcing cycles (RFI/RFQ/RFP) with data-driven evaluation and selection.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and supplier agreements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Drive supplier qualification, audits, and compliance documentation in partnership with QA/RA.
• Maintain sourcing risk register and proactively mitigate supply chain risks.
• Own procurement operations including purchase orders, vendor payments, and inventory alignment.
• Resolve supplier issues and ensure continuity across global operations.
• Partner cross-functionally with R&D, QA, and Operations to support product development and launches.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS —

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5–8 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience in life sciences, nutraceuticals, medical devices, or consumer health.
• Proven experience managing multi-vendor, multi-region sourcing programs.
• Strong knowledge of supplier qualification, audits, and quality documentation standards.
• Demonstrated negotiation success with measurable impact on cost, quality, or timelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate independently in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS —

• Experience sourcing wearable electronics or biosensors.
• Background in bioactives, botanicals, or supplement systems.
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement platforms.
• Knowledge of global supplier ecosystems, especially India.
• Relevant certifications (CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent).
