Product Manager – UPI Full Time NEW

Role Details: The person will be responsible for overseeing and driving the development, enhancement, and management of the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) product offerings of our bank. Your primary focus will be on leveraging the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) UPI platform to provide innovative and seamless digital payment solutions to our customers.

Overall Job Description:

• Develop and execute the bank’s UPI product strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape related to UPI.
• Define and document UPI product requirements, user stories, and use cases to guide the product development process.
• Work closely with the technology team to ensure timely and successful delivery of UPI product releases.
• Monitor the performance and usage of UPI products, and implement data-driven insights to optimize and improve customer experience.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the UPI ecosystem, including NPCI guidelines, regulations, and security standards, and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with banks and other stakeholders in the UPI ecosystem to drive interoperability and expand the reach of UPI services.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to UPI and digital payments.
• Provide regular updates and reports on the performance and progress of UPI products to senior management
• Grow the transacting users for UPI by co-owning product experience with the squad
• Independently drive the product metrics and strategy with measurable outcomes
• Work with cross-functional teams that include Technology, Program Management, Marketing and Analytics to launch products with high velocity
• Continually monitor metrics and refine products basis customer feedback
• Drive clarity on complex and ambiguous projects

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

EDUCATION

• Preferred: Minimum of 3-5 years of post MBA experience as a Product Manager, preferably in the financial services industry.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Essential requirement: In-depth knowledge and understanding of the UPI ecosystem, including NPCI guidelines and regulations.

• Preferred: Sound understanding of technology trends and a familiarity with digital payment technologies and platforms.
