About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchase Engineer / Sr Purchase Enginee to lead the procurement function for a manufacturing organization. The role involves end-to-end supply chain management, vendor development, cost optimization, and ensuring efficient procurement operations aligned with business objectives.

Qualifications

 Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field

 Additional certification in Supply Chain / Procurement is an advantage

Required Skills

 Strong experience in procurement within manufacturing / pharma / equipment industry

 Expertise in vendor management and contract negotiation

 Strong knowledge of ERP systems

 Understanding of import/export documentation and compliance

 Strong analytical and cost optimization skills

 Excellent communication and leadership abilities

 Strong decision-making and strategic thinking mind-set

 Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Key Responsibilities

 Lead end-to-end procurement of raw materials, components, machinery, and services

 Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals

 Manage ERP-based procurement systems for purchase orders, inventory tracking, and reporting

 Conduct vendor development, evaluation, and performance management

 Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with suppliers

 Perform market research and cost analysis to ensure cost-effective sourcing

 Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules

 Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers

 Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply risks

 Optimize procurement processes for efficiency and cost savings

 Ensure compliance with company policies, legal, and ethical procurement standards

 Manage import/export documentation and global sourcing activities

 Drive budget planning, cost control, and procurement forecasting

 Implement risk management strategies to avoid supply chain disruptions

 Prepare procurement reports, MIS, and performance dashboards

 Lead and mentor the purchase/procurement team
