Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with strong Mechanical and/or Electrical knowledge to handle procurement activities for EPC and industrial projects. Candidates with prior experience in Bulk Material Handling projects will be highly preferred.
The ideal candidate should possess strong vendor management skills, technical understanding of industrial equipment and materials, and the ability to coordinate procurement activities efficiently within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for EPC and industrial projects
- Source Mechanical and Electrical materials, equipment, consumables, and services
- Develop and maintain vendor and supplier networks
- Evaluate quotations technically and commercially
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers
- Coordinate with project, engineering, and site teams for procurement planning
- Ensure timely material delivery aligned with project schedules
- Prepare purchase orders, comparison statements, and procurement reports
- Track market trends and identify cost optimization opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and quality standards
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Mechanical and/or Electrical components
- Experience in EPC procurement processes
- Vendor development and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and materials
- Ability to read technical specifications and drawings
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
Preferred Background
- Experience in Bulk Material Handling companies preferred
- Exposure to power plants, cement plants, steel plants, or process industries is an advantage
- Familiarity with project procurement and industrial supply chains
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field will be preferred
