Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION
- Handle end-to-end procurement activities related to fabrication materials and components
- Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and stores teams for material planning
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality or delays
- Analyse cost structures and support cost optimization initiatives
- Maintain accurate purchase records and MIS reports
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Good knowledge of fabrication processes and materials
- Sound costing and cost analysis knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting
- Experience in SAP (SEP) or similar ERP systems
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Industry Preference: Fabrication / Manufacturing
- Hands-on experience in procurement within a fabrication or manufacturing setup
- Ability to work independently and handle pressure situations
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
