Role Description

This is a full-time position for a Radiation Safety Officer located on-site in Ahmedabad. The Radiation Safety Officer will oversee all aspects of radiation safety at the facility, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring radiation levels, conducting dosimetry and radiation assessments, managing radioactive materials, implementing safety protocols, training staff on health physics, and ensuring adherence to international and government regulations. The role requires coordinating with internal teams and regulatory authorities to maintain a safe and compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in Dosimetry to assess and monitor radiation doses and exposure levels.
• Understanding of Radiation and expertise in managing Radioactive Materials for safe handling, storage, and disposal.
• Proficiency in Radiation Safety practices to ensure AERB compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• Background in Health Physics to analyze and supervise the effects of ionizing radiation and design protective measures.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to conduct effective training sessions.
• Experience working in radiation processing facilities or related industries preferred.
• Familiarity with international radiation safety regulations and appropriate licensing procedures is a plus.
