This role entails collaborating with the business to maintain seamless operations aligned with diverse processes and policies. Key responsibilities include conducting accurate revenue reconciliations, providing commercial training for store personnel, engaging proactively with channel partners, projecting costs, analysing margins, monitoring expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary limits, conducting periodic GL reviews and ensuring accurate accounting, preventing losses due to GST input tax credit and direct taxes, and analysing receivables and payables to maintain control

Commercial Operations – Summary1. Business Planning & Budgeting

• Prepare annual operating plans and overhead budgets in coordination with Sales, Retail, HR, and Admin teams.
• Submit budget projections within agreed timelines.
• Monitor budget adherence and expenditure control.

2. Financial Performance & Variance Analysis

• Conduct monthly budget vs. actual analysis.
• Identify root causes of major variances and drive corrective actions.
• Publish monthly store profitability reports.

3. Debtor & Receivable Management

• Monitor customer receivables and collections.
• Ensure payments are received within credit terms.
• Perform customer reconciliations and maintain accurate debtor balances.
• Support working capital optimization through effective debtor management.

4. Franchisee Payable Management

• Process and settle franchisee claims on time.
• Conduct periodic reconciliations and obtain franchisee sign-offs.
• Support store opening, closure, and conversion activities.
• Ensure required licenses and commercial infrastructure are in place.

5. Working Capital & Fund Management

• Reconcile funds with Treasury and resolve outstanding items.

• Ensure adherence to SOPs, policies, and statutory regulations.
• Obtain approvals as per Schedule of Authority (SOA).

7. Tax & Financial Controls

• Support GST, TDS, and tax compliance activities.
• Review General Ledger (GL) accounts and resolve ageing items.
• Prevent financial losses arising from non-compliance.

8. Training & Stakeholder Management

• Conduct commercial, statutory, and policy training for store teams and business associates.
• Improve claim processing efficiency and address stakeholder concerns.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational and commercial issues.

9. Process Improvement & Policy Management

• Manage Terms of Trade (ToT) configurations.
• Validate franchisee margins and identify revenue leakage risks.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.

10. Month-End Closing & MIS

• Manage provisions, reconciliations, and month-end accounting activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely MIS reporting.
• Review overheads, income accounting, and financial closures.
