Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Microbiologist with 1–2 years of professional experience in a laboratory, food industry, pharmaceutical, or related environment. The successful candidate will support microbial testing, ensure hygiene standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in quality and safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, finished products, water, air, and surfaces as per standard methods (e.g., ISO, BAM, IS).
• Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, media preparation, and sterilization procedures.
• Conduct environmental monitoring, swab testing, and hygiene audits in production and packaging areas.
• Support validation of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, logs, and reports for internal and external audits.
• Assist in investigating microbial deviations, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
• Participate in internal audits, GMP, GHP, and HACCP implementation.
• Collaborate with production and QA teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 22000, FSSAI, FDA, etc.).

Qualifications & Skills

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a microbiology lab (preferably in food, pharma, or environmental sectors).
• Knowledge of basic microbial techniques (TPC, coliform, yeast & mold, pathogen detection, etc.).
• Familiarity with GLP, GMP, and documentation practices.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and laboratory software.
• Team player with good communication and time management skills.

Preferred

• Exposure to audits (FSSAI, ISO, FDA, Halal, etc.).
• Basic understanding of quality systems and HACCP principles.
