Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Operations Analyst/Data Analyst with proven experience developing and deploying data pipelines, analytical models, and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, and tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau, dbt, Spark, and cloud data platforms. This role demands the ability to translate complex datasets into clear insights and scalable systems that directly inform business strategy and product decisions.
Key Responsibilities
● Data Management & Reporting: Own and manage the organisation’s master dataset. Design, build, and maintain dashboards and recurring reports (daily, weekly, monthly) that provide stakeholders with accurate, timely visibility into business performance.
● Analytical Modeling & Insights: Conduct ad-hoc deep-dive analyses and drill-down investigations into anomalies, trends, and emerging patterns across business processes. Translate findings into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.
● Automation & Scalability: Achieve operational scalability by automating recurring data workflows and reporting processes. Build robust pipelines that reduce manual effort and ensure consistency and reliability at scale.
● Data Quality & Governance: Ensure that data management systems and analytical platforms are continuously updated with accurate, validated information. Proactively monitor data integrity and resolve discrepancies or issues as they arise.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively contribute to system and process enhancement projects. Partner with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders throughout the full data lifecycle — from collection and transformation to insight delivery and monitoring.
● Decision-Support Tooling: Create utilities and self-serve tools for data gathering and sharing that enable better business decision-making. Build frameworks that empower teams to independently explore data and surface insights.
● Issue Resolution & Documentation: Investigate and analyse data-related issues or disputes, prepare detailed, well-structured responses and resolution reports. Document findings arising from data anomalies and prepare standardized summaries to be shared with relevant business teams.
Qualifications
● Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a data analyst or data scientist role, with a track record of delivering impactful analyses and production-ready data solutions.
● Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn), SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. Experience with data warehousing platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt) is strongly preferred.
● Analytical & ML Skills: Solid understanding of statistical methods, A/B testing, and machine learning fundamentals. Ability to move from exploratory analysis to building scalable models where needed.
● Educational Background: A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees are a plus.
● Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to break down complex business questions into structured data problems and deliver clear, evidence-based conclusions.
● Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
