Role Description
1. To establish and deploy robust operational and market risk framework that adhere to the Yes Securities India Private Limited Operating Principles to meet the strategic objectives of the organization.
2. To promote a culture of constant improvement through innovation aimed at providing consistent and exceptional experience, and enhanced productivity and organizational efficiency.
3. To ensure Yes Securities India Private Limited is complying with relevant regulatory requirements and its risk appetite statement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage with the Head of Business Delivery in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implement and manage operational plans.
2. Supervise and approve periodic operational reconciliations.
3. Ensure relevant regulatory reports are prepared accurately and filed in time as required.
4. Contribute to systemisation and platform strengthening to achieve scale and sustainability.
5. To ensure no trading loss occurs due to market risks not previously identified and documented in the risk appetite statement.
6. Be the escalation point of contact to receive queries from internal and external customers and provide optimal solutions with the required sense of urgency with logical reasoning, while keeping the client’s and firm’s interest in mind.
7. Own client complaints and ensure speedy and accurate resolution.
8. Ensure effective coordination and communication between client facing functions, support functions and the organization at large.
9. Experience of handling Retail broking RMS.
10. Finalizing products and policy for Broking RMS.
11. Supervision of Daily Process of Risk Management like Limit Updating, square off position
12. Reporting to Exchange/Regulators.
13. Expertise in handling Admin terminal and understanding of usage of Rules and categories.
14. Preparation of Various Risk MIS Development of Back-office software and In house development related to Risk Department.
15. Tracking of funds with All exchanges.
16. Follow up of Debits and Risk with the branches/regional heads.
17. To monitor market risks on a real-time basis and provide sound advice to management and front office on potential risks
18. Demonstrate an understanding of the role and take accountabilities for all decisions and actions.
19. Demonstrate in quantifiable terms the contribution towards achieving a zero-error scenario in managing Risk
20. Interact with Auditors and ensure all issues raised by them are remediated at the earliest. Requirements:
1. Education: Graduation in Commerce or MBA or CA
2. Certifications (if any): NISM-Series-VII: Securities Operations and Risk Management Certification Examination NISM-Series-VIII: Equity Derivatives Certification Examination
3. Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in Risk Management Department
Technical Skills:
1. Ability to deliver exceptional service through a high-performance team
2. In-depth knowledge of capital markets or wealth operations including an understanding of products offered by domestic stock broking firms
3. In-depth knowledge of operations management and organizational effectiveness.
4. Basic knowledge of business management principles and practices
5. Basic knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices
6. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry practices for exchanges & depositories.
7. Basic information technology skills (Strong MS excel skills.)
8. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
9. Strong understanding of MTF (Margin Trading Facility) products and margin requirements, with hands-on experience in shortfall analysis and timely follow-up for MTF and Derivatives positions.
10. Familiarity with CTCL activities and processes will be an added advantage.
