Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior SAP FICO Consultant to join the SAP functional team supporting ETG Group’s multi-country SAP S/4HANA landscape.

The role involves end-to-end ownership of Finance & Controlling processes, including core accounting, tax compliance, reporting, and integration across India, Dubai, and Africa.

The consultant will play a key role in ensuring robust financial controls, statutory compliance, and smooth integration with other SAP modules as part of the ongoing S/4HANA 1709 → 2307 upgrade.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP FICO configuration and solution design across core areas:
• Implement and manage regional tax localization for India (GST), UAE (VAT), and Africa (local tax variations).
• Configure Automatic Account Determination, Withholding Tax, and Foreign Currency Valuation.
• Oversee Bank Integration, Electronic Payments, and Reconciliation (EBS, Lockbox, etc.).
• Collaborate with SD, MM, and Treasury teams for seamless integration of financial postings and reconciliations.
• Conduct business requirement workshops, perform fit-gap analysis, and prepare Functional Specifications for custom developments.
• Support system upgrades, rollouts, and migrations ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP).
• Lead testing cycles (Unit, Integration, UAT) and coordinate with technical teams for transport movement and issue resolution.
• Ensure timely month-end/year-end closing and provide system-based automation or optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with business users to enhance reporting through Fiori Apps, Report Painter, or Power BI integration.
• Troubleshoot financial integration issues and guide junior consultants in problem resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2 years in SAP FICO configuration and support.
• Strong expertise in:
• GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and CO-PA
• Financial Close Process, Accruals, Intercompany Transactions, and Cross-Company Code Accounting
• In-depth knowledge of regional statutory requirements:
• India GST and TDS
• UAE VAT
• African localization (tax and reporting)
• Solid understanding of integration between FICO and other modules (SD, MM, PP, TM).
• Experience in S/4HANA Simplifications – Universal Journal (ACDOCA), Business Partner integration, New Asset Accounting.
• Proven experience in rollout, migration, and upgrade projects in multi-entity environments.
• Ability to analyze complex accounting requirements, design solutions, and ensure audit compliance.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with business users and auditors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Information Technology.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost Accountant / MBA (Finance) preferred.
• SAP S/4HANA FICO certification desirable.
• Exposure to Power BI and Consolidation tools.
