The Role

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Accountant to oversee and maintain accounting across multiple companies within our organization.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a multi-entity environment, takes ownership of their work, and is comfortable bringing structure and organization to accounting processes.

You will work closely with ownership and support existing bookkeeping staff to ensure all financial records are accurate, consistent, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

• Maintain and oversee accounting for multiple companies
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger activity
• Perform and review bank and credit card reconciliations

Accounts Receivable & Payable

• Monitor and maintain AR and AP across all entities
• Ensure proper recording of customer payments, deposits, and vendor invoices
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Inventory & Cost Tracking

• Support inventory-related accounting processes
• Work with team to improve accuracy in cost tracking and adjustments
• Assist in identifying inconsistencies and improving processes

Process Improvement

• Help standardize accounting practices across companies
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
• Ensure consistent use of systems and processes

Team Collaboration

• Work alongside and guide existing bookkeeping staff
• Provide support and oversight to ensure accuracy and consistency

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of accounting of full-cycle accounting experience
• Strong understanding of AR, AP, and reconciliations
• Experience working with multiple entities is an asset
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to accuracy
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, multi-company environment
• Experience preparing monthly financials independently

Nice to Have

• Experience in inventory-based or product-driven businesses
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems (DDI & Quickbooks)
• Experience improving or cleaning up accounting processes
