Senior Consultant -Global Trade Service + ABAP Full Time

Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited (“USI Tax”) commenced operations in June 2004. Work You’ll Do – Intro: Our team specializes in effective technology-enabled methodologies and providing leading practices for global trade programs that address both international and local requirements, as well as embed international trade controls into day-to-day business operations.

Work You’ll Do -:

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for GTS projects.
• In your role, you will lead and/or facilitate business process definition and modeling.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development and configuration.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within SAP GTS solutions.
• You will guide a team to implement and configure the software to replicate the required business processes and analytical/reporting needs.
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users and client teams.
• Ensure that SAP GTS solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, infrastructure, and business teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and support.
• You will contribute to the development and growth of the SAP GTS practice globally.

The Team:

The GTA practice is composed of operations specialists, Global Trade Management technology specialists, customs brokers, auditors, and trade management professionals who help importers and exporters achieve worldwide compliance and realize efficiencies and advantages in their global supply chain. You will be based in India and support Deloitte Tax to serve clients with international operations and supports their global trade compliance requirements.

Location: Mumbai, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications – Required:

• Bachelor / Master degree in relation to Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or similar
• Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP GTS project implementation, and thus have significant knowledge of the SAP GTS Solution, in one of the following domains: Compliance Management, Customs Management, Trade Preference
• Good understanding of supply chain management processes
• Ability to travel up to 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Experience in other SAP modules than SAP GTS is an asset
• Technical knowledge (e.g. ABAP, SAP PI) is an asset
• Good analytical and modeling skills
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week

Qualifications – Preferred:

• Education with SAP focus (S/4 or ECC Sales and Distribution, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Material Master, Transportation Management)
• Software aptitude in PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and/or Visio
• Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers
• Knowledge of export regulations including ITAR/EAR
• Demonstrated interest in international trade or international business
• Strong research, writing, verbal communication, and project management skills
• Ability to bring out-of-the-box solution design aligned to leading practices and differentiated business outcome
• Understanding of end-to-end processes and attention to detailed design
• Strong team and organizational skills, ability to self-manage time and tasks
• Ability to manage client and cross functional team expectations
