Role Purpose

The Senior Director – Delivery is responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of strategic programmes across Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) clients. The role focuses on driving customer success, operational excellence, and large-scale transformation initiatives, while ensuring sustainable revenue growth, delivery quality, and strong client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Leadership & Client Success

• Own end-to-end delivery across multiple BFSI accounts, ensuring alignment to client objectives and contractual commitments
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, driving long-term engagement and value creation
• Ensure delivery excellence across projects, programmes, and managed services

2. Strategic Account Management

• Partner with sales and business leaders to support account growth, renewals, and margin improvement
• Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing BFSI clients
• Build account-level strategies aligned to market trends and client priorities

3. Programme & Portfolio Management

• Oversee large, complex programmes with multi-geography teams (onshore/offshore)
• Establish programme governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms
• Drive predictable delivery through strong planning, risk management, and execution discipline

4. BFSI Domain Leadership

• Leverage deep understanding of banking and financial services domains (retail banking, payments, lending, wealth, insurance)
• Advise clients on digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and technology modernisation
• Bring industry insights and best practices to strengthen client solutions

5. Financial & Commercial Management

• Own P&L for delivery portfolios, driving revenue growth, margin optimisation, and cost control
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance of programmes
• Ensure commercial governance, contract compliance, and financial discipline

6. Risk, Quality & Governance

• Ensure adherence to delivery governance, quality standards, and compliance requirements
• Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks and issues
• Act as an escalation point for critical incidents and customer concerns

7. People & Capability Leadership

• Build and lead high-performing delivery teams across geographies
• Drive talent development, succession planning, and capability building in BFSI delivery
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

8. Transformation & Innovation

• Lead digital transformation initiatives across client portfolios
• Drive adoption of new technologies, automation, and agile delivery models
• Champion innovation to enhance efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes

9.Contribution to BFSI Delivery solutioning for pursuits in partnering with pre-sales/solutioning teams.

• Lead delivery solutioning for ongoing BFSI RFIs/RFPs, including effort estimation and pricing reviews across small, medium, and large deals.
• Provide pre-sales support from a delivery lens, collaborating with sales, solutioning, architecture, and practice SMEs (AI, Platforms, Products, etc.) through the deal pursuit.
• Present delivery solutions to clients and represent delivery in client workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance or related field
• MBA or equivalent preferred
• 15+ years of experience in IT services or consulting, with significant experience in BFSI delivery leadership
