We are looking for a Senior Engineer to help driving our global MarTech strategy forward, with a particular focus on cloud-based architecture (Azure preferred) and API integrations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams – from engineering and product to data and CX teams – ensuring scalable, future-ready solutions that enhance both consumer and business outcomes. “Great innovation happens when complexity is tamed, and possibilities are unleashed.”

About the CDI Experience Organization:

The Consumer Direct Interaction Experience Organization is a Digital Product Organization responsible for delivering tech solutions to our end-users and consumers across both pre-purchase and post-purchase journeys. We are organized in 15+ digital product areas, providing solutions ranging from Contact Center, E-commerce, Marketing, and Identity to AI. You will play a key role in ensuring the right sizing, right skillset, and core competency across these product areas.

What you’ll do:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, cloud-native architecture patterns to support integration across key marketing platforms including BlueConic (CDP), Iterable (Marketing Automation), SAP CDC (Identity & Consent), Qualtrics (Experience Management), and Dynamic Yield (Personalization).
• Design and develop API-first and event-driven integrations to enable real-time data flow, trigger-based activation, and experience orchestration across distributed systems.
• Lead the implementation of asynchronous messaging patterns using technologies like Apache Kafka or Azure Event Hub, supporting reliable, scalable event consumption and processing.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to build and deploy resilient microservices on Microsoft Azure, leveraging Java, Quarkus, and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, AKS).
• Translate complex MarTech business requirements into modular, reusable, and high-performance components that promote speed, stability, and scale.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle, including coding, configuration, observability, and CI/CD practices.
• Promote engineering best practices in documentation, security, telemetry (logs, metrics, traces), and scalability for all integration services.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and implement consent-aware data handling in integration flows.
• Guide the team in applying best practices for distributed locking, retry policies and error handling for robust integration pipelines.

Who are you:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software/cloud engineering roles, preferably in MarTech, Customer Experience (CX), or Digital Transformation domains.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure and modern microservice architecture principles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Quarkus (or equivalent frameworks like Spring Boot), and API development (REST, webhooks, OAuth2, SAML).
• Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, including real-time messaging via Kafka, Event Hub, or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating CDPs, CX, Marketing Automation, Identity and Web Personalization platforms within the MarTech ecosystem
• Familiar with data privacy and consent frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and their impact on customer data flows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional and distributed teams.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with a proactive mindset for innovation and continuous improvement.
