Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Develops a purchasing strategy, Reviews and processes purchase orders.
• Manages other members of the purchasing team and Maintains records of goods ordered and received.
• Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers and Builds and maintains relationships with vendors.
• Selects prospective vendors and negotiates contracts and Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price.
• Schedules deliveries and ensures timely fulfillment of orders and Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services.
• Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise.
• Stays current with purchasing technology trends and oversees purchase and implementation, as necessary.
• Budget, measure and exceed strategic business and performance objectives for incremental stakeholder relationships, existing departmental accounts, and new business opportunities.
• Accountability for customer financial relationships, which includes billing, over dues, and payment behavior.
• Identify opportunities to expand the business.
• Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines, and be ready to handle unexpected situations.
• Develop and maintain the relationship
• Maintain interface toward specific Customer Department
• Provide in defining Commercial Proposal Strategy
• Provide input to the commercial strategy with Commercial awareness
• Manage Commercial Management resources to secure short and long-term profitability through excellence in commercial management-owned Domain.
• Maintaining a positive, concerned and professional attitude towards the interested parties at all times.
• Maintaining management systems as per ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, and Environment and Safety standards 45001:2018 &14001:2015.

Educational Background

• Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• MBA (Preferred)

Work Experience

• 5 to 7 years of Experience in the field of Procurement, Steel Industry experience would be preferred.

Others

• A candidate having a local domicile (Gujarat) would be preferred.
