Your team

You’ll work engage with other divisional Tech SEO Managers and Specialists, reporting into our Organic Growth Lead. Together, you’ll assess SEO requirements, prioritise projects, and drive execution and site maintenance. You will contribute to the Tech SEO function – setting best practice standards, supporting web and mobile app development teams with technical implementation, and translating findings into successful organic campaigns across three brands.

Your role in the Team’s Success

As our Senior Tech SEO Manager for APAC, you’ll own the technical SEO roadmap across a diverse set of markets – identifying opportunities, mitigating risk, and driving measurable organic growth. You will set best practice standards and ensuring flawless technical execution across web and mobile.

Working cross-functionally with development teams and regional stakeholders, you’ll translate complex technical findings into high-impact campaigns. Your work will directly influence how IG’s sites perform in search – and how the broader SEO function scales its capabilities across the region.

What You’ll Do

• Devise and implement technical SEO strategies and enhancements across IG’s web properties, translating audit findings into prioritised development roadmaps
• Monitor site health, server logs, crawl errors, and search performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Screaming Frog, BrightEdge, Ahrefs, and SEMrush
• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits covering site architecture, page speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data, mobile optimisation, security, and indexation
• Manage and optimise technical on-site elements including XML sitemaps, robots.txt, 301 redirects, meta tags, canonical tags, and schema.org markup
• Monitor and improve site performance and Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS), identifying optimisation opportunities across caching, compression, image optimisation, and page speed
• Lead technical SEO involvement in site migrations, decommissions, and major product launches, ensuring SEO best practices are correctly implemented throughout
• Develop App Store Optimisation (ASO) strategies to improve visibility and download performance across IG’s mobile apps on iOS and Android
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical SEO guidance, conduct ad-hoc analysis, and support the wider digital marketing strategy

Key Qualification Requirements

What you’ll need for this role

Essential

• 8–10+ years of SEO experience, with a strong technical specialisation
• Proven expertise in technical audits, site migrations, and large-scale SEO projects across multi-lingual, multi-regional sites
• Deep understanding of search engine mechanics and ranking factors, including Core Web Vitals, crawlability, indexation, and structured data
• Hands-on experience with enterprise SEO tools (e.g. Deepcrawl, BrightEdge, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console)
• AI tools literacy and applied experience within a technical SEO environment
• Line management experience with the ability to lead, coach, and develop a specialist team

Desirable

• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry
• App Store Optimisation (ASO) experience
• Degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant field
